Philosophy
One of the greatest gifts we can
give our children is to allow them to grow creatively. It is through
constructive play that children can develop both intellectually and
emotionally. At Cuddles-N-Care
(C-N-C) teachers encourage the children
to explore their world though hands-on and
multi-sense learning activities designed to help them
develop the requisite early childhood skills and knowledge. At
C-N-C, we want our children to have a healthy self-esteem and
feel confident about what they are
learning.
Quality care is of the upmost importance to the
C-N-C staff. Our children are surrounded by warmth, love, and
security.The individualized care we offer helps both
parent and child to make a pleasant transition from
home to school. Emerging from the Cuddles-N-Care program, your
child will have a solid foundation for successful life-long
learning.
Director
Marlo King is the director and owner of the
Cuddles-N-Care Day Care Center located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
Ms King has owned Cuddles-N-Care
since June 1999.
Marlo has a Bachelors of Arts degree
in early/elementary education from Arcadia University. While attending
college, she worked at C-N-C as a teacher's aide and
was promoted to assistant
teacher, head teacher, and eventually director within four
years.
Even as a child,
Marlo had an affection for children. She loves being
around children because of their
innocence, loving nature, energy, and warm being. Babysitting was
her most enjoyable part-time job as a teen and while attending
college. Her dream was to one day own her own childcare
center. When
the initial owner of Cuddles-N-Care decided to sell the business, Marlo
was given the opportunity to own and operate the
center.
In 2001 Ms King
purchased and renovated the building at 7707 Germantown Avenue
where the center is currently located.
Marlo King is looking forward to continued success and years
of offering quality care and education for young
children.
Staff
In addition to Marlo King, the Cuddles-N-Care
staff consists of qualified teachers and teaching assistants. Our
teacher to student ratio meets or exceeds the state requirements and
all staff has passed the mandatory background checks.
